Associated Builders and Contractors is a national
trade association representing nearly 23,000 contractors,
subcontractors, material suppliers and related
firms from across the country and from all specialties
in the construction industry. ABC is the only
national association devoted exclusively to the
merit shop philosophy, which aims to provide the
best management techniques, the finest craftsmanship,
and the most competitive bidding and pricing strategies
in the industry, regardless of labor affiliation.
Approximately 80 percent of all construction workers
are employed by merit shop companies.

NAWIC is a professional Association
comprised of women working in construction and
related industries. It was established to enhance
the success of women in the construction industry.
The objectives of NAWIC are to unite women who are
actively engaged in the various phases of
construction, to promote cooperation and education,
to encourage women to pursue and establish careers
in the construction industry and to provide members
an awareness of the legislative process as it
relates to construction.

North American Technician Excellence, Inc. (NATE)
is the leading certification program for technicians
in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and
refrigeration (HVACR) industry and is the only test
supported by the entire industry. Nate tests
technicians while others train. Testing validates the
technician's knowledge and training. Candidates can
earn installation and/or service certification in five
specialty areas including air conditioning, air
distribution, heat pumps, gas heating and oil heating.

Women In HVACR is the first
international organization for Women in the Heating,
Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry.
Women in HVACR was organized exclusively for educational
purposes, more specifically to further the growth of
women in all areas of the HVACR industry, including the
field, sales, management and ownership. It provides
members with a variety of means to network and develop
in a professional environment.
