Associated Builders and Contractors is a national
trade association representing nearly 23,000 contractors,
subcontractors, material suppliers and related
firms from across the country and from all specialties
in the construction industry. ABC is the only
national association devoted exclusively to the
merit shop philosophy, which aims to provide the
best management techniques, the finest craftsmanship,
and the most competitive bidding and pricing strategies
in the industry, regardless of labor affiliation.
Approximately 80 percent of all construction workers
are employed by merit shop companies.

The Associated General Contractors of America,
the voice of the construction industry, is an
organization of qualified construction contractors
and industry related companies dedicated to skill,
integrity, and responsibility. Operating in partnership
with its Chapters, the association provides a
full range of services satisfying the needs and
concerns of its members, thereby improving the
quality of construction and protecting the public
interest.

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA)
is the nation's premiere trade association of
heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration
(HVACR) contractors. With 68 state and local chapters
across the country, ACCA's member network of more
than 9,000 contractors nationwide also includes
manufacturers of HVACR equipment, wholesalers
and distributors, vocational and technical schools,
facilities operators, and others.

The primary goal of the AUSTIN ASSOCIATION
OF FACILITY AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS (AAFAME)
is the continuing education of maintenance engineers,
to keep them abreast of new building technology.
Today, more than ever, education is critical to
the proper maintenance & operation of modern
buildings. Not only is it necessary to keep the
equipment functioning, it is more important than
ever to operate with as high efficiency as possible
not only due to the high cost of utilities but
for the conservation of our resources and reduction
of environmental contamination.

BOMA International was founded in 1907 as
the National Association of Building Owners and
Managers. The association assumed its present
name in 1968 as it broadened its reach to include
Canada and participants from around the globe.
Today BOMA International represents 100 North
American and nine overseas associations in Australia,
Brazil, Finland, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, the
Philippines and South Africa.
